Import licensing requirement

On 15 April 2009, the Ministry of Production of Argentina adopted Resolution 123/2009 amending Resolutions 444/2004, 343/2007 and 588/2009 (please, see related state acts).

The changes introduced with the new legislation led to the establishment of import licensing requirements in 59 eight-digits tariff lines.

Previously to this legislation, no import certificate was imposed on the affected tariff lines. 

Resolution 123/2009 entered into force on 5 May 2009.

 
Update
On 25 January 2013, the Argentine Ministry of Economy and Public Credit adopted Resolution 11/2013 revoking this legislation.
