Anti-dumping

On March 18, 2013, the Moroccan authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of A4-size paper (70-90 gr/m2), from Portugal.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 4802.5790.
This follows the application lodged by Med Paper.
 
On February 13, 2014, the Moroccan authorities issued their preliminary report and recommended the imposition of a provisional anti-dumping duty at a rate of 10.60% .
On May 1, 2014, the decree imposing this provisional duty was published in the Official Gazette of the Kingdom of Morocco. The rate of the duty is 10.6%. Subject goods are classified under HS code 4802.5690 and not 4802.5790 according to this decree. It entered into force on the day following the publication of the regulation in the Official Gazette, that is on May 2, 2014, and is applicable for a period of four months.
 
On September 9, 2014, the Moroccan authorities issued their final report and recommended the imposition of a definitive anti-dumping duty at a rate of 10.60%.
On November 6, 2014, the decree imposing this definitive duty was published in the Official Gazette of the Kingdom of Morocco. The rate of the duty is 10.60%. It entered into force on the day following the publication of the regulation in the Official Gazette, that is on November 7, 2014, and is applicable for a period of five years.
