Anti-dumping

On January 24, 2013, the Indian Directorate General of anti-dumping & allied duties, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of flexible slabstock polyol from Japan and the United States of America.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 3907.20.
This review follows the application lodged by M/s. Manali Petrochemicals Ltd. on behalf of the domestic industry.
While initiating the sunset review, the Indian authorities decided on February 4, 2013 to extend up to February 4, 2014 the existing definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on February 5, 2008 by Notification No. 15/2008-Customs (Notification No. 1/2013-Customs (ADD), 04.02.2013). For details about the amount of this duty, see Table of Notification No. 15/2008-Customs.
On January 13, 2014, the Indian Directorate General of anti-dumping & allied duties, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, issued its final findings of the sunset review. After the applicant withdrew its application, stating that the situation with regard to the imports of the subject goods from Japan and the United States of America has undergone significant changes since the initiation of the sunset review investigation, the authority concluded that there was no need for further investigation and recommended discontinuation of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of flexible slabstock polyol originating in Japan and the United States of America.
Hence, the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of flexible slabstock polyol originating in Japan and the United States of America terminated on February 4, 2014.
