Import tariff

On 12 October 2012, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) imposed an import tariff of 15% ad valorem on alkyd resins (HS 3907.50) for non-EU/EFTA countries.

The International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) based its decision to increase the customs duty due to considering price disadvantages against foreign producers of alkyd resins that the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) is experiencing.
