Export licensing requirement

On 22 October 2012, the Minister of Trade introduced export restrictions on timber products namely: 4407.10.00 to 4407.99.90;4409.10.00 to 4409.29.00; 4412.31.00 to 4412.99.00; 4418.10.00 to 4418.90.90 and 9406.00.92.00.

The affected timber products must obtain an export approval that requires verification and technical inquiry (article 16). Article 17 asks for annual production plans. Hence, changes in the export quantity require approved re-verification. Furthermore, timber products can only be exported by companies recognized by the authority (that is, recognized as ETPIK).

The measure entered into force on 1 January 2013 and was replaced on 1 January 2015 by regulation 97/M-DAG/PER/12/2014 (cf. Related Measures).
