Import tariff quota

The Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (CAMEX) has issued Resolution no. 72/2012, in which the import tariffs on stretch-thinned polypropylene film (NCM 3920.20.19, previously at 16%) and on synchronised cargo lifting modules with a maximum capacity of 100 tonnes (NCM 8428.90.90, previously at 14%) were temporarily reduced to 2%, under import quotas of 960 tonnes and 6 units, respectively.
The measure entered into force on October 5th, 2012, the new tariff on polypropylene film is applicable for 180 days (i.e. until April 2nd, 2013) and that on cargo lifting modules 60 days (i.e. until December 3rd, 2012).
