On 1 October 2012, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Chamber (Camex) has issued resolution no. 70/12, in which the import tariffs on a number of products, concerning 100 tariff lines at the 8-digit level, were raised temporarily (up to 25%). The measure entered into force on October 1st, 2012, the new tariffs are applicable for 12 months.
