On July 27, 2012, the Malaysian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of hot rolled coils from Chinese Taipei.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7208.3600, 7208.3700, 7208.3800, 7208.3910, 7208.3991 and 7208.3999. The dumping is suspected to have occurred between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011.
On November 22, 2012, the Malaysian authorities terminated the investigation without the imposition of an anti-dumping duty after the petitioner withdrew its request.
