Anti-circumvention

On December 14, 2012, the Turkish authorities initiated an anti-circumvention investigation on imports of fittings from Chinese Taipei. This investigation follows suspicion that the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of tube or pipe fittings from Brazil, Bulgaria, China, India, Indonesia and Thailand might be circumvented.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 7307.1900.

On September 26, 2013, the Turkish authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of fittings from Chinese Taipei. The amount of the duty is USD 800 per tonne.

On 12 May 2017, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of tube or pipe fittings from Brazil, Bulgaria, China, India, Indonesia and Thailand. Since the antidumping measure imposed on imports of subject good from Brazil, Bulgaria, China, India, Indonesia and Thailand was extended to imports of the same products originating in Chinese Taipei, the sunset review and its conclusion will hold for this country as well.

On 21 April 2018, the Turkish authorities extended the antidumping duty imposed on imports of tube or pipe fittings from Brazil, Bulgaria, China, India, Indonesia and Thailand following the conclusion of the sunset review. The duty remains at the same level. As such, the duty imposed on imports of the subject good from Chinese Taipei is also extended.
