On 29 March 2019, the Indonesian Ministry of Finance issued regulation 32/PMK.010/2019 replacing regulation 70/PMK.03/2010 (see related state acts) and expanding the list of service exports benefitting from VAT exemption.

Tax-based export incentive

Regulation 32/PMK.010/2019 does not repeal any of the VAT exemptions on the service exports previously listed in regulation 70/PMK.03/2010 (see related state acts).

Instead, it expands the list to include freight forwarding services, IT, R&D, aircraft and ship rental, consulting, and trade-related services.

The regulation came into force on 29 March 2019.
