Import tariff

On 25 October 2019, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) has adopted Notice 1383 increasing the import duty on wheat and wheaten flour from ZAR 66.47 c/kg (approx. USD 0.045) and ZAR 99.71 c/kg (approx. USD 0.068) to ZAR 100.86 c/kg (approx. USD 0.069) and ZAR 151.29 c/kg (approx. USD 0.104) respectively.

The affected products are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 1001.91 and 1001.99 as well as 1101.00.10, 1101.00.20, 1101.00.30 and 1101.00.90.

This import tariff applies to all countries except for the ones belonging to the Southern African Development Community.
