Import quota

In March 2012, Indonesia reduced the import quota for beef from 100'000 tonnes (in 2011) to 34'000 tonnes (in 2012). The significant reduction was taken in order to promote local beef farmers. In June 2012, the quota for 2012 was slightly increased to 41'000 tonnes.
