Import tariff

On 5 June 2019, the Group of MERCOSUR has adopted Resolution 008/2019 reducing the import duty on dimethylamine, monoethylamine, propylamine and monoisopropylamine. The affected products are classified under tariff lines 2921.11.21, 2921.19.11, 2921.19.22 and 2921.19.23.

The new import tariff duty has been reduced from 12% and 14% to 2% depending on the product. 

The new import duty only affects countries outside the MERCOSUR trading area.

The new import duties are to enter into force on 1 January 2020.

Update
On 3 April 2020, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Chamber (Camex) adopted Resolution Nº 25 terminating the reduced import tariff set on tariff line 2921.19.11 starting on 1 May 2020.
