Import tariff

On 17 December 2018, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council has adopted Resolution 101/2018 eliminating the temporary increase of import duty set on tariff line NCM 6809.11.00. The change that has been introduced has led to the reduction of the import duty set on gypsum boards.

Concretely, according to the WTO tariff download facility the new import duty has been set at 10%. The previously applicable import tariff was 25%.

The new legislation has entered into force on 17 December 2018.
