On 4 December 2017, the Russian Government issued instructions to public procurement officials to reject offers to supply certain types of stents and catheters from foreign producers, if there is at least one offer from a Russian producer.

On 4 December 2017, the Russian Government issued instructions to public procurement officials to reject offers to supply certain types of stents and catheters from foreign producers, if there is at least one offer from a Russian producer.  The affected products are bare metal stents for coronary arteries, stents for coronary arteries, releasing drugs, balloon standard catheters for coronary angioplasty, and aspirating catheters for embolectomies. The restriction is in force until 1 July 2018.
