In August 2019, the Vietnamese authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of Biaxial Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film products from China, Thailand and Malaysia. The investigation is still in progress.

Anti-dumping

On 5 August 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam issued Decision No. 2334/QĐ-BCT initiating an antidumping investigation on imports of Biaxial Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film products from China, Thailand and Malaysia. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 3920.20.10 and 3920.20.91. This follows the application lodged on 26 April 2019 by Hung Nghiep Formosa Co., Ltd and Youl Chon Vina plastic Joint stock company.
