In July 2019, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a credit line with Ibercaja Banco, S.A. to support projects carried out by Spanish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-cap companies.

On 29 July 2019, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Ibercaja Banco, S.A. signed a credit line agreement having a total value of EUR 150 million (approx. USD 167 million).
The EIB financing will, through Ibercaja Banco, S.A., support projects mainly carried out by SMEs whilst mid-cap companies are also eligible. The credit line has a special focus on micro-enterprises and companies located in "less developed regions" or operating in "vulnerable sectors".
A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
