Anti-dumping

On October 2, 2012, the Government of Brazil initiated an anti-dumping investigation against imports of certain types of yarn of synthetic staple fibers from Indonesia (Circular No 48, October 1st, 2012).
This investigation was initiated upon request of the Brazilian enterprise Paramaount Texteis Indústria e Comercio S.A.
 
On October 2, 2013, the Government of Brazil announced the conclusion of the anti-dumping investigation against imports of acrylic fibers from Indonesia. The Brazilian authorities concluded the procedure without the adoption of anti-dumping duties on these products (Circular No 55, October 1st, 2013).
 
The product subject to investigation were classified under the following items of the MERCOSUR´s Harmonized System: 5509.31.00, 5509.32.00, 5509.61.00, 5509.62.00, and 5509.69.00.
