In July 2019, the Malaysian authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of cellulose fibre reinforced cement flat and pattern sheet from Indonesia. In November 2019, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress.

Anti-dumping

On 26 July 2019, the Malaysian authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of cellulose fibre reinforced cement flat and pattern sheet from Indonesia. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 6811.82.20.00 and 6811.82.90.00. This investigation follows the application lodged by the UAC Berhad.

On 25 November 2019, the Malaysian authorities issued Customs (Provisional Anti-dumping Duties) (No. 2) Order 2019 imposing a provisional antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from Indonesia. The rate of duty is 35.43% or 108.1% of the CIF value depending on the company. The duty is in force from 26 November 2019 to 20 March 2020.
