On December 25, 2018, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a 90 billion yen (834 million USD) ODA loan agreement with the Indian Government for two development projects in Delhi. These projects are:

  1. Chennai Metro Construction Project: A mass transit system seeking to reduce traffic congestion and pollution in Chennai. For this project, Japan will provide Japanese tunnel excavators, elevators, escalators, rails, signal systems, automatic toll collection systems, platform screen doors (half type), vehicles.
  2. Dairy Farming Development: Project to improve farmers' access to modern distribution networks, acquire new dairy equipment and infrastructure. 

The GTA includes state loans and other financial incentives that are likely to affect the restructuring and performance of firms facing international competition, whether from imports, in export markets or from foreign subsidiaries.
