ANNOUNCEMENT 10 Jul 2019

In July 2019, the Indian authorities initiated three antidumping investigations. Firstly, an investigation concerning imports of isononanol from the European Union and Singapore. Secondly, an investigation concerning imports of 2-propylheptyl alcohol from the European Union. Thirdly, an investigation concerning imports of 2-Ethyl-hexanol from Saudi Arabia and Singapore. The investigations are still in progress.

The Indian authorities did not stipulate the HS code classification of the subject good. The good is, however, likely classified under HS code subheading 2905.19. The investigation follows the applications lodged by Andhra Petrochemicals Ltd. This, in turn, follows a Court Order based on a court proceeding concerning an antidumping investigation application filed in 2016.
