In July 2019, the Indian authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain types of polystyrene from Iran, Malaysia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. The investigation is still in progress.

Anti-dumping

On 10 July 2019, the Indian authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of polystyrene, except expandable polystyrene, from Iran, Malaysia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. The products subject to investigation are classified under HS code subheading 3903.19. The investigation follows the applications lodged by Ineos Styrolution India Limited and Supreme Petrochem Ltd.
