Anti-dumping

On 6 July 2019, the Turkish authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of synthetic and artificial staple fibre yarns from the Indonesian companies PT Elegant Textile Industries Company and PT Sunrise Burni Textiles Company. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 5508, 5509 (with the exception of 5509.52, 5509.61 and 5509.91), 5510 (with the exception of 5510.20) and 5511. Notably, a definitive antidumping duty is currently imposed on imports of the subject good from Indonesia with the exception of PT Elegant Textile Industries Company and PT Sunrise Burni Textiles Company, see related state act. The Turkish authorities decided, in this context, to initiate a separate firm-specific investigation concerning the subject companies and as such not investigate these under the current sunset review investigation initiated in December 2018.

On 22 May 2020, the Turkish authorities imposed a definitive duty on import of the subject good from the Indonesian companies PT Elegant Textile Industries Company and PT Sunrise Burni Textiles Company. The rate of duty is respectively 3.62% and 5.03% of the CIF value.
