In June 2019, the Australian authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of high density polyethylene from the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand and the United States. The investigation was terminated without the imposition of duties in February 2020.

Anti-dumping

On 24 June 2019, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of high density polyethylene from the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand and the United States. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 3901.20.00 and 3901.90.00. This follows the application lodged by Qenos Pty Ltd.

On 28 February 2020, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission terminated the antidumping investigation on imports of the subject good from the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand and the United States without the imposition of definitive duties. This follows the authorities concluding that negligible or no dumping has occurred from the respective countries.
