Import tariff

On 14 June 2019, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) has adopted Notice 924 increasing the import duty on wheat and wheaten flour ZAR 67.51 c/kg (approx. USD 0.046) and ZAR 101.26 c/kg (approx. USD 0.068) to ZAR 95.8 c/kg (approx. USD 0.065) and ZAR 143.69 c/kg (approx. USD 0.097) respectively.

The affected products are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 1001.91 and 1001.99 as well as 1101.00.10 and 1101.00.90.

This import tariff applies to all countries except for the ones belonging to the Southern African Development Community.
