In 2018 Amazon and retailer Grove Collaborative received state and local incentives for fulfillment centers in St. Peters, Missouri.

Amazon and retailer Grove Collaborative plan to open fulfillment centers in St. Peters, Missouri, supported by state and local incentives. The largest share of these incentives take the form of industrial development revenue bonds, of which Amazon will receive $75 million and Grove Collaborative $13.5 million.
In addition to this state loan, the following distinct state support was provided:
· Both companies will receive sales tax exemptions with a combined value of at least $1.6 million on qualified construction materials if bought in Missouri or in the city of St. Peters.
· Grove Collaborative will receive approximately $1.2 million in Missouri Works incentives for creating jobs.
· St. Charles County pledged $500,000 to pay for road improvements to handle the expected truck congestion.
