In a decision published in the May 29, 2019 edition of Customs Bulletin and Decisions, U.S. Customs and Border Protection proposed that women’s sandals be reclassified from HTSUS 6402.99.4960 (37.5% duty) or 6402.99.8061 (90 cents/pair + 20% duty) to HTSUS 6402.99.31 (6% duty). The change will be effective with respect to goods entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after July 29, 2019.
