State loan

On 2 February 2016, the European Investment Bank (EIB) approved the Technology & Digital Platforms Programme having a total value of EUR 300 million (approx. USD 327.7 million). The facility is dedicated to financing investment in IT carried out by commercial banks in Spain. Such investment includes, among others, IT solutions related to mobile services, process optimisation, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.

A number of loans have been signed under the Programme, the first being signed in May 2019 see related state act.

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
