Import tariff quota

On 2 February 2015, the Argentine Executive has adopted Decree 80/2015 reducing to 2% the import duty applicable on tariff line NCM 2921.19.23. The new duty applies for a quota of 26,282 tonnes. Previously to this legislation, no tariff-rate quota applied to this product.

According to the WTO tariff database, the import duty outside the quota is 7.68%.

The new import tariff quota has a temporary character and applies for twelve months.

The allowance to temporarily reduce the import duty on copolymers was announced on Directive 30/14 issued by the Trade Commission of MERCOSUR.

Decree 80/2015 has entered into force on 3 February 2015.
