Import tariff

On 8 May 2019, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina (i.e. AFIP by its Spanish acronym) has adopted General Resolution 4472/2019 reducing the reference prices set on imports of yarns classified under tariffs subheadings NCM 5407.51.00, 5407.52.10, 5407.53.00 and 5407.54.00.

The new reference prices have been decreased from a FOB value ranging between USD 4.56 and USD 8.09 per kilogramme to a FOB value ranging between USD 2.28 and USD 4.05 per kilogramme depending on the characteristics of the product. The previously applicable import criterion values were established in External Notice 91/2008.

The new legislation affects the following jurisdictions: the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

This measure has entered into force on 10 May 2019.
