Import tariff

On 6 June 2016, the Ecuadorian Foreign Trade Committee (COMEX) has issued Resolution No. 010-2016 modifying the customs duty. The changes introduced have led to a decrease in import tariffs affecting 60 six-digits tariff lines.

The new import duties have been set at values ranging between 0% and 5%, while the previous applicable tariffs ranged between 5% and 30% depending on the product.

The new legislation has entered into force on 1 August 2016.
