Anti-dumping

On 10 April 2019, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of methionine from Japan, Malaysia and Singapore. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 2930.40.00. This investigation follows the application lodged on 4 March 2019 by Ningxia Ziguang Tianhua Methionine Co., Ltd.

On 9 October 2020, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China terminated the antidumping investigation on imports of the subject good from Singapore, Malaysia and Japan without the imposition of definitive duties. The investigation was terminated as the petitioner, Ningxia Ziguang Tianhua Methionine Co., Ltd., submitted an application to terminate the investigation in accordance to article 27 of the Anti-dumping Regulations of the People's Republic of China on 21 September 2020. The decision enters into force on 10 October 2020.
