In a decision published in the April 3, 2019 edition of Customs Bulletin and Decisions, U.S. Customs and Border Protection proposed that three styles of women’s sandals be reclassified from either 6402.99.4960 (37.5% duty) or 6402.99.8061 (90 cents/pair + 20% duty) to HTSUS 6402.99.31 (6% duty). The change will be effective with respect to goods entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after June 3, 2019.
