On September 13, 2012, the Government of Argentina introduced reference prices applicable to the importation of certain toilet and kitchen linen from Brazil, China, Uruguay, and other Asian and Latin-American countries. The product subject to this measure is classified under the following tariff line of MERCOSUR's Harmonized System: 6302.60.00.
These reference prices are effective on September 17, 2012.
Argentina introduced reference values of precautionary nature forimported goods in June 2005 (in Spanish: valores criterio decarácterpreventivo). The stated purpose is to strengthencustomscontrolandprevent under-invoicing.
