Export licensing requirement

On October 18th, 2018, the several Chinese ministries announced the reintroduction of export quota management on ephedra plants.

The quota had previously been abolished in 1998 (see second source).

Total quota amounts were not published. Previously, exporters did not have to apply for quota licenses; from the enaction date of this intervention (January 1st, 2019), they must apply for such permission.
