According to the WTO, the Government of Costa Rica eliminated import tariffs on rice for a certain quota.

On 20 April 2018, the Permanent Delegation of Costa Rica to the WTO announced the establishment of a 0% of import duty set on rice classified under tariffs subheading 1006.10.90 for a quota of 42,176 tonnes.
According to the WTO import tariffs database, the duty outside the quota is 17.5%
This import tariff quota applies between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2018.
