Import licensing requirement

On March 11th, 2011, the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine released a list of firms who were officially approved as importers from whom Chinese firms could purchase cotton.

The list applies to all Chinese cotton importers.

This edition of the list confirmed that 39 new firms would be allowed to import cotton.

The firms on this list are from the following jurisdictions:

  • Japan
  • Pakistan
  • Singapore
  • UAE
  • Tajikistan
  • Niger
  • Nigeria
  • Greece
  • Liechtenstein
  • Switzerland
