Import tariff quota

On 22 July 2013, the Secretary of Economy of Mexico has adopted a measure modifying the allocation of import tariff quotas on barley and malt classified under tariffs subheadings 1003.90.01, 1003.90.99, 1107.10.01 and 1107.20.01.

The new agreement increased the allocation of the duty-free import quota of these commodities by 6,000 metric tonnes, allowing a total duty-free import quota of 9,000 metric tonnes. Previously, the import tariff quota was set at 3,000 metric tonnes.
