Import tariff

On 20 November 2018, the EEU announced a temporary waiver of import duty on electrodes, effective between 20 December 2018 and 1 January 2020. The electrodes, classified under the HS code 8545 11 008 9 in the EEU Unified Customs Tariff normally face an import duty of 8%. The electrodes are used as an input into the production of electrical furnaces.
