Import tariff

On 22 October 2018, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Union temporarily waived import duties on nine organic chemical compounds used to produce plant protection chemicals. The decision is effective from 21 November 2018 until 1 January 2021. The 2016 version of the EEU Unified Customs Tariff was amended, with the targeted chemicals separated into new HS codes, with the waiver applying only to those new codes. Most of the chemicals  used to be imported under a 3% or a 5% import duty.
