In July 2011, the government of Turkey initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty and subsequently extended the duty in 2012. In May 2017 a sunset review was again initiated and the definitive duty was extended.

Anti-dumping

On July 28th 2011 the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on polyester synthetic staple fibre coming from Indonesia and the Republic of Korea. Dumping is alleged to have occurred during the year 2010. On May

On May 16th 2012 anti-dumping duties were extended to both countries. The duties amount to between 6.2%-12% of the CIF values.

On 12 May 2017, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the antidumping measure imposed on imports of the subject good from the Republic of Korea and Indonesia. The investigation follows the application lodged by Sasa Polyester Sanayi A.Ş. The products subject to investigation are classified under HS code subheading 5503.20.

On 20 April 2018, the Turkish authorities extended the antidumping duty imposed on imports of polyester synthetic staple fibre from Indonesia and the Republic of Korea following the conclusion of the sunset review. The rate of duty on imports from Indonesia is 6.2% or 12% depending on the company. The rate of duty on imports from the Republic of Korea is 6.2%.
