Import tariff

On 14 August 2015, the Colombian Executive has adopted Decree 1625/2015 extending for another two years the duty-free import duty set on multiple goods when Decree 1755/2013 was adopted on 15 August 2013. The new list includes certain amendments and has extended the 0% import duty on another 114 tariff lines. As a consequence, the import tariff on the affected products has been decreased from values set at 5%, 10% and 15% to 0%.

The new list has a temporary character and is due to terminate on 15 August 2017.

This Decree is to enter into force on 16 August 2015.

List of raw materials and capital goods not produced locally exempted of import tariffs
On August 15, 2013, the Colombian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism issued Decree 1755/2013 establishing a list of raw materials and capital goods not produced locally exempted temporarily of import tariffs. The tariff lines included in the list enjoy a 0% import duty for a two-year period starting on August 15, 2013.

However, on August 14, 2015, the Colombian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism issued Decree 1625/2015 launching again a similar list with products enjoying a 0% import duty for a two-year period starting on August 16, 2015.

Since then, the list has been updated on several occasions (please, see related state acts).
