State loan

The European Investment Bank (EIB) approved a credit line to Landesbank Saar having a total financing value of EUR 150 million (approx. USD 169.5 million). Under the credit line, a loan agreement, having a total value of EUR 75 million, was signed on 14 December 2018.

The credit line will, through Landesbank Saar, support renewable energy projects carried out by German and French small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-caps and public sector entities.

According to the EIB: "This loan will improve competitiveness and access to finance at favourable conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-caps and public sector entities."
