Anti-circumvention

On December 12, 2014, the Turkish authorities initiated an anti-circumvention investigation on imports of welded stainless steel tubes, pipes and profiles from Malaysia and Vietnam (Notification 2014/43).
This investigation follows suspicion that the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed by Notification 2013/4 dated March 15, 2013 on imports of the same products originating in China and Chinese Taipei might be circumvented (see related intervention).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7306.4020, 7306.4080 and 7306.6110.
The complaint was lodged by Vena Paslanmaz Çelik Boru ve Profil San. Tic. A.S. and Istanbul Ekonomi Danismanlik Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Sti.

On 18 March 2016, the Turkish authorities decided upon the extension of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of welded stainless steel tubes, pipes and profiles coming from China and Chinese Taipei (see related intervention) to imports of the same products originating in Malaysia and Vietnam(Communiqué 2016/06, 18.03.2016).
The rate of the duty is 25.27% the CIF value for both Malaysia and Vietnam with the exception of a number of listed companies that are not subject to this measure.
