On 22 July 2013, the Malaysia government announced a change in export formalities.

The amendments come into effect on 23 July 2013.

Export licensing requirement

On 22 July 2013, Malaysia introduced additional export requirements for:

  • rubber and rubber products (HS 4001, HS 4002, HS 4003, HS 4004, HS 4005, HS 4006), and 
  • gloves, mittens and mitts of vulcanized rubber (HS 401511, HS 401519).

Exports require letters of approval from the Malaysian Rubber Board.

The amendment comes into effect on 23 July 2013.
