Financial assistance in foreign market

On January 15, 2019, the Japan Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC) established a 40 million Euro (45 million USD) fund in Luxembourg for investment in Nordic and Baltic IT companies. The fund is managed by Estonia-based AS BaltCap as a venture capital fund, and JBIC IG Partners, a joint venture between JBIC and Industrial Growth Platform, Inc. (IGPI). After investment from Japanese OMRON Corporation, Panasonic Corporation, and Honda Motor Co., Ltd., the fund will reach 100 million Euro. 

The fund will help with the Japanese corporations gain strategic investments in Baltic and Nordic IT companies as well as to provide support for Japanese companies helping them form business alliances with local IT companies.
