Import tariff

On 8 January 2019, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina (i.e. AFIP by its Spanish acronym) has adopted General Resolution 4397/2019 eliminating the reference price set on imports of certain female clothes classified under tariff subheadings NCM 6204.22.00 and 6204.29.00. The previously applicable import criterion values were established in External Notice 91/2008 at a FOB value of USD 36.73 and USD 15.71 per kilogramme respectively.

The new legislation revoked the decision enforced with External Notice 91/2008 and it affects the following jurisdictions: Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Mauritius, Bangladesh and Macao.

This measure applied to imports taking place as of 14 January 2019.
