Import tariff

On 21 December 2018, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina (i.e. AFIP by its Spanish acronym) has adopted General Resolution 4382/2018 decreasing the reference prices set on imports of certain synthetic yarns classified under tariff subheading NCM 5509.53.00.

The new reference prices have been decreased from a FOB value ranging between USD 2.55 and USD 3.05 per kilogram to a FOB value ranging between USD 2.19 and USD 2.62 per kilogram depending on the characteristics of the yarn. The previous applicable reference prices were established in External Notice 91/2008.

The new legislation affected the following jurisdictions: the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

This measure applied to imports taking place as of 31 December 2018.
