Import tariff

On 6 January 2010, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina (i.e. AFIP by its Spanish acronym) adopted General Resolution 2726/2009 increasing the reference prices set on bags classified under tariff subheadings NCM 4202.22.10 and 4202.29.00.

The new reference prices were increased from a FOB value ranging between USD 0.20 and USD 5.40 per unit to a FOB value ranging between USD 0.24 and USD 6.59 per unit.

This External Notice affects the following jurisdictions: the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

This measure applied to imports taking place as of 7 January 2010.

Update 
On 22 July 2011, the AFIP adopted General Resolution 3153/2011 modifying the applicable reference prices on bags classified under tariffs subheadings  NCM 4202.22.10 and 4202.29.00. This resolution entered into force on 9 August 2011 (please, see related state acts).
