State loan

On 31 January 2017, the European Investment Bank (EIB) approved a programme dedicated to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-caps in the European Union. Through the programme, the EIB will grant loans to SMEs and mid-cap companies through eligible financial institutions including banks, public support institutions and leasing companies. Each credit line granted under the programme to such financial institutions is maximum EUR 250 million. The total budget for the programme is EUR 3 billion (approx. USD 3.2 billion).

A number of credit lines have been signed with financial institutions under this programme, see related state acts.

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
